Why a Classroom?
Although I generally prefer not to over-explain and thus hinder the viewer's sense-making process, many have inquired about the signification of the classroom settings. So here are some hints:
- A classroom is a sanctioned forum for discourse.
- Being a subject of academic study often signifies the legitimization—if not canonization—of the very subject.
- While the blog is hailed as a democratic medium, isn't bloggers a new class of authority on the (figurative) podium?
- A classroom/discourse is not complete without students/participants.
